Terms of Service

Last Updated: September 11, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the purchase and use of video editing services provided by EDITIT (“EDITIT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By submitting footage, placing an order, completing payment, or otherwise using EDITIT, you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

1. Services

EDITIT provides video editing services using footage, audio, images, graphics, instructions, and other materials supplied by the Customer.

The scope of each project is based on the footage submitted, the service selected at checkout, and any instructions provided in the Additional Requests section before the order is submitted.

Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, EDITIT retains reasonable creative discretion regarding the editing process.

2. Customer-Provided Footage

The quality of any completed video is dependent on the quality of the footage and materials provided by the Customer.

EDITIT does not guarantee that footage containing poor image quality, low resolution, improper exposure, camera shake, poor audio, incorrect camera settings, compression, corruption, missing files, or other technical limitations can be repaired, enhanced, or corrected.

EDITIT will make reasonable editing efforts using the materials provided, but makes no guarantee regarding the final quality of footage that contains technical or creative limitations before submission.

3. Format of Deliverables

Unless otherwise requested by the Customer before submission, footage will generally be edited and delivered in a format consistent with the footage provided.

For example, vertically recorded footage may be delivered vertically, and horizontally recorded footage may be delivered horizontally.

Customers requiring a specific:

  • aspect ratio;
  • orientation;
  • resolution;
  • frame rate;
  • video duration;
  • platform format;
  • file format; or
  • other delivery specification

must include that information in the Additional Requests section before submitting the order.

EDITIT does not guarantee that formatting requests submitted after production has begun can be accommodated.

4. Special Instructions and Additional Requests

The Customer is responsible for providing all important editing instructions before submitting the order.

This includes, without limitation:

  • specific clips or sections that must be included;
  • clips or sections that should not be included;
  • music requests;
  • requested video length;
  • clip order;
  • vertical or horizontal formatting;
  • text, titles, names, spelling, or other information;
  • specific moments or timestamps;
  • pacing or editing preferences; and
  • any other requirement material to the Customer’s desired result.

EDITIT will rely on the instructions submitted with the order.

If a request is not provided before the order is submitted, EDITIT makes no guarantee that the request will be incorporated into the completed project.

Requests submitted after editing has begun may be declined, may affect delivery time, or may require additional payment.

5. Creative Discretion

Unless detailed instructions are provided, the Customer authorizes EDITIT to exercise reasonable professional and creative judgment in completing the project.

This may include decisions regarding:

  • clip selection;
  • trimming;
  • pacing;
  • sequencing;
  • transitions;
  • music placement;
  • audio levels;
  • color adjustments;
  • timing; and
  • overall presentation.

Video editing is subjective.

A Customer’s personal preference or disagreement with a creative decision does not, by itself, constitute a failure by EDITIT to provide the purchased service.

6. Priority Service

If Priority service is purchased, the Customer’s project will receive priority placement within the EDITIT production queue relative to standard projects.

Priority service does not constitute a guaranteed delivery date or guaranteed turnaround time.

Project completion may be affected by footage quantity, project complexity, Customer requests, technical issues, current workload, file-transfer problems, or other circumstances.

Payment for Priority service represents payment for priority queue placement only unless a specific delivery deadline has been separately agreed to in writing.

7. Delivery Times

Any delivery date, turnaround estimate, production estimate, or completion timeframe provided by EDITIT is an estimate only unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement.

EDITIT does not guarantee completion within any particular number of hours or days.

Customers with a firm deadline are responsible for obtaining written confirmation from EDITIT that the deadline has been accepted before submitting the project.

8. No Guarantee of Results

EDITIT does not guarantee any specific creative, commercial, social media, marketing, or performance result arising from a completed video.

Without limitation, EDITIT makes no guarantee regarding:

  • views;
  • likes;
  • comments;
  • followers;
  • engagement;
  • reach;
  • sales;
  • leads;
  • sponsorships;
  • exposure;
  • audience growth;
  • platform performance; or
  • any other measurable outcome.

The purchase of EDITIT services is a purchase of video editing services only.

9. Music and Third-Party Materials

Customers requesting specific music should include the request before submitting the order.

EDITIT does not guarantee that any specific song, recording, sound, image, graphic, or other third-party material can be used.

Use may be restricted by copyright, licensing requirements, platform rules, technical limitations, availability, or the intended use of the finished video.

EDITIT may decline or substitute requested material when reasonably necessary.

The Customer is responsible for obtaining any rights or permissions required for materials supplied directly by the Customer.

10. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer is responsible for:

  • submitting the correct footage;
  • submitting complete files;
  • maintaining an independent backup of all original footage;
  • providing accurate contact information;
  • providing accurate names, spelling, titles, and instructions;
  • identifying any required clips, moments, or specifications; and
  • ensuring that the Customer has the legal right to provide the submitted materials to EDITIT.

EDITIT is not responsible for errors resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or omitted information supplied by the Customer.

11. File Storage and Backups

EDITIT is not a permanent storage or archival service.

Customers must maintain their own copies and backups of all footage and materials submitted to EDITIT.

EDITIT makes no guarantee regarding how long uploaded footage, project files, source files, exports, or completed deliverables will remain stored after completion of a project.

Files may be deleted after delivery without additional notice.

12. File Transfer and Technical Issues

EDITIT may use third-party technology and service providers for file storage, file transfer, payment processing, hosting, project management, and delivery.

EDITIT is not responsible for delays, interruptions, lost connections, upload failures, corrupted transfers, service outages, processing delays, or other technical problems caused by systems outside the reasonable control of EDITIT.

If submitted footage cannot reasonably be accessed or edited due to a technical issue, EDITIT may request replacement files or additional information from the Customer.

13. No Warranty

EDITIT services are provided on an “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EDITIT makes no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding any particular creative outcome, technical improvement, delivery timeframe, platform performance, or Customer satisfaction.

EDITIT does not warrant that every defect contained in Customer-supplied footage can be corrected.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EDITIT shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to the services, submitted footage, completed deliverables, delays, file loss, third-party services, or use of a completed video.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total liability of EDITIT arising out of a particular project shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the Customer to EDITIT for that project.

15. Changes Requested After Submission

EDITIT is not obligated to accept new instructions, replacement footage, additional footage, or expanded project requirements after an order has been submitted.

If EDITIT agrees to additional work, that work may be subject to additional fees and additional production time.

16. Submission of an Order

Before submitting an order, the Customer is responsible for reviewing:

  • the footage selected;
  • the calculated footage amount;
  • project information;
  • contact information;
  • selected services;
  • Additional Requests; and
  • the total purchase price.

Once an order is submitted and payment is completed, EDITIT may begin processing and production based on the information provided at checkout.

17. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting footage, completing payment, or otherwise purchasing or using EDITIT services, the Customer acknowledges and agrees that:

  1. the quality of the completed video is dependent on the footage provided;
  2. specific requests must be communicated before submission;
  3. Priority service does not guarantee a delivery timeframe;
  4. delivery estimates are not guarantees;
  5. editing involves subjective and creative decisions; and
  6. EDITIT does not guarantee any particular result or outcome.

These Terms constitute the agreement between the Customer and EDITIT regarding the matters described above unless modified by a separate written agreement accepted by EDITIT.
